Guyana at the Commonwealth Games : ウィキペディア英語版 | Guyana at the Commonwealth Games
Guyana has competed in seventeen of the twenty previous Commonwealth Games. British Guiana was one of the eleven countries to compete in the first Games in 1930, and participated under that name until 1962. The country gained independence in 1966 as Guyana, and subsequently competed under that name. ==Overall medal tally== At the 1930 British Empire Games, British Guiana won two medals. One medal was won by Philip Aaron Edwards, who was invited to compete by the organiser of the Games Melville Marks (Bobby) Robinson. Edwards competed for Canada at several Olympic Games. After the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Guyana did not win any medals, but was thirtieth in the All-time tally of medals, with an overall total of 13 medals (2 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze).
